WELCOME TO GEELO
Gender Education, Empowerment & Leadership Organization (GEELO) is a non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian organization founded 2009 by (Zahra Mohamed Abtidon) a Somali woman professional in response to the humanitarian crisis resulting from prolonged conflict, drought, floods, and socio economic instability in Somalia.
GEELO was established to protect and empower women, children (particularly the girl child), marginalized youth, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and vulnerable rural communities. The organization operates using a community-based and participatory approach to promote resilience, dignity, and sustainable development.
